What is Digitizing?
Digitizing is a process which transfers your image file into a readable embroidery file. Modern day embroidery is done by sewing machines that must have the correct embroidery format to complete the job. Every time you see a shirt with an embroidered company logo or a hat with an embroidered sports team emblem, that design was “digitized”. Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting existing artwork into a stitch file that an embroidery machine can sew on a garment. Before any design can be embroidered, it must be digitized. Great digitizing is the foundation of great embroidery.
Can any file be digitized?
Yes and no. Any design can be digitized, however, embroidery places some limits on the appearance of a design that do not exist in print designs. Small letters, tiny details or color gradients can sometimes be difficult to reproduce in thread exactly. We recommend lettering to be no smaller that 5mm. You can send art work files to us in any known formats but preferably .jpeg, .pdf
What is the turnaround time?
If your garments are in stock with our suppliers there is a 2-4 week turnaround from the date you give us the go ahead.
How will I know if my design and colours are correct?
We have a large range of colours to choose from. Once you have selected your colours the design will be digitized then sewn out. Once done we will have you confirm that you are happy with it. This way you have the correct colours and you also can make sure you are happy with the quality of the design.
What happens if you don’t have my shirt that I have used previously?
If we do not have a shirt you want we will do our best to source the garment for you.
